Abstract
The continuous degradation of Earth’s natural resources is caused by the excessive and uncontrolled use of resources, generating waste that disrupts natural flows of energy and matter. Environmental Education is widely recognized for its ability to modify human attitudes towards the environment; however, it is essential to be implemented effectively and comprehensively to ensure significant results. The motivation for this study arose from the realization that many educators face difficulties in accessing tools for Environmental Education and struggle to find relevant references with similar characteristics and practicality. The objective of this study was to conduct a survey of educational games on environmental preservation with the aim of supporting Environmental Education for elementary school teachers. This study is defined as qualitative research, conducted through a literature review, with the following stages: keyword research, article selection, reading of abstracts and full papers, and evaluation of the type of proposed game. As a result, six games developed for classroom use and four digital games addressing ecological themes such as biodiversity, conservation, solid waste, environmental degradation, and 3R’s, among others, were identified. In conclusion, the identification and survey of these educational games provide opportunities for educators to apply such resources in their classes, whether in a face-to-face or remote context.
