Abstract
ABSTRACT: This work aims to develop an alarm center for real-time monitoring of critical parameters of medical gases, such as vacuum pressure, compressed air and oxygen. The proposal aims to provide an affordable and efficient solution, using hardware and software technologies. The system was developed with two ESP32 LoRa boards, one configured for transmission and the other for reception, together with a Raspberry Pi 4, which acts as a hub for data received via ESP32 LoRa. The data is processed through Node-RED, a visual development tool that allows the integration of devices and sensors. Flows were programmed in Node-RED to capture, store and analyze the input values, determining alert situations when predefined limits are exceeded. The methods employed include the configuration of flows in Node-RED to process the information received and the use of conditional logic to check the states of the sensors and define alarm triggering criteria. The data was stored in Google Sheets and the system automatically sends notifications via Telegram when the values of the medical gases are outside the control parameters. The results obtained indicate that the system is capable of continuously monitoring parameters and issuing alerts in critical situations, such as a total lack of gas supply or inadequate pressure. The system proved to be reliable in simulated scenarios, demonstrating its accuracy and efficiency in activating alarms. As a final consideration, the system presents itself as a viable alternative for monitoring hospital gas systems, contributing to the safety and efficient operation of critical environments. Future studies may include expanding the system to monitor other variables, increasing its applicability and functionality.
