Abstract
This dissertation aims to analyze School Geography as a space for promoting geoconservationist practices, based on the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and the textbooks of the National Textbook Program (PNLD). The core concepts of Geodiversity, Geopatrimony, Geoconservation, Geoparks, and Geotourism, known as the "5 G's," are explored for their relevance in conservation education. The research highlights School Geography as a crucial environment for disseminating these practices, particularly due to the educational value attributed to Geodiversity. In order to broaden the debate and equip educators and students to develop geoconservationist actions, a Distance Learning (EAD) course will be designed for the continuous training of teachers in Geoconservation. The course aims to provide theoretical and practical foundations so that teachers can integrate discussions and activities on the subject into their classes, fostering greater awareness and engagement among students.
