Diagnóstico e tratamento de manifestações patológicas na construção civil identificadas em edifício comercial na cidade de Piumhi/MG

The science of civil buildings is composed of several stages, each of which has its particularity and purpose. During the construction process, performance and quality standards must be observed in order to produce a safe and durable project, however, negligence and lack of professionalism often lead to situations conducive to the development of pathological manifestations in civil construction. The present work aimed to carry out the diagnosis and treatment of anomalies manifested in a commercial building still in the construction phase, seeking to determine the best way to contain and prevent the propagation of this deleterious effect. Two forms of pathological manifestation were observed: metallic corrosion in the structure with the formation of yellowish rust on the surface of beams and pillars, and displacement of the external mortar coating, forming fissures, cracks, cracks and crevices in the sealing masonry. After analyzing the collected data, it was concluded that there was no need for structural reinforcement and the process of recovery and treatment of these conditions proceeded with the removal of corroded film followed by polymeric painting on the metallic structures and removal of the old external coating with closure of openings and application of reinforced mortar on all floors. With the conclusion of the intervention, the containment of corrosive processes was achieved and the creation of an external reinforced mortar coating with hydrophobic characteristics. No recurrences of these pathological manifestations were registered in the period of 6 months after the conclusion of the intervention, demonstrating the efficiency of the intervention.
