Abstract
Waterproofing is a set of techniques that ensure the quality and conservation of construction elements. However, the waterproofing system is undervalued and, in most works, executed ignoring the existing technical, normative and scientific precepts on the subject. The impact of neglect with this system can be seen in the pathologies of constructions where a significant part is caused by the lack of waterproofing or its poor execution. Another noticeable impact concerns waterproofing costs, which comprise approximately 3% of the total value of the work but can reach up to 14% when the planning and execution of these services do not observe the technical, normative and scientific precepts of execution and maintenance. This study presents waterproofing systems with polymeric mortar and polyurethane membrane in high standard constructions. The execution of the waterproofing followed the requirements and recommendations of NBR 9574. In this work, the execution, test and evaluation techniques employed are presented.
