Abstract
In the current business scenario, the success of a project is not limited to its completion within the established deadline and budget. Learning from previous processes and projects can be a huge differentiator for an organization to achieve success. This research has the general objective of discussing how the implementation of a new approach to lessons learned in projects in a company can impact results, since problems can be anticipated and expenses avoided, this requires effective management of the knowledge acquired. Thus, the specific objectives are to present project management, address the main problems and failures identified in projects, point out the importance of lessons learned in projects and finally, clarify the management of processes in projects. The research methodology called bibliographic review was used to develop this research. It was concluded that applying lessons learned in project management processes is crucial to promoting continuous improvement and organizational success. By capturing, analyzing and applying knowledge gained from previous projects, organizations can avoid repeated errors, maximize operational efficiency and increase the chances of achieving project objectives.
