Abstract
This study evaluates the conditions of eclectic-style buildings, which, despite being fewer in number within the ensemble, play a prominent role due to their distinctive characteristics and the significant positions they occupy in the urban layout of the city. Buildings from the colonial, modernist, and eclectic periods hold a fundamental role in the historical chronology of Ouro Preto's development. The colors of these buildings preserve unique moments and reflect the design concepts conceived in different periods, highlighting the technologies, pigments, and hues used throughout history. The aim of this study is to develop a case study on the conditions and influences that eclectic buildings undergo over time, with an emphasis on the applied colors, while also correlating the contexts imposed by the city on this subject.
