Abstract
Violence against women represents a significant public health problem and a violation of their human rights. There are numerous consequences of this type of violence with the negative impact on women’s physical and mental health. Research shows that in the world, one in three women are subjected to physical or sexual violence. In this work, a mobile application was developed, in partnership with the Social Defense/Municipal Guard of Sabara, in order to assist women in a situation of violation or threat of violation of the protective measure and optimize the management of these types of occurrence with the municipal public agencies. Open-source technologies, such as Ionic and Angular, were used, respectively, for the development of a web system and building mobile hybrid applications, aiming at the ease of future improvements and their replication by other public agents and entities related to the theme. This is a pioneering work in the municipality of Sabara and with a formal partnership with the city’s Social Defense.
