Abstract
The absence of parameters and the lack of supervision in the construction of sidewalksn can cause problems in urban mobility, compromising accessibility and what these spaces must offer. Because the infrastructure intended for the circulation of people must guarantee comfort and safety to its users. This case study looks for irregularities in sidewalks that hinder accessibility. This theme is important mainly in smaller urban centers, since walking is the basis of local mobility. Thus, this research aimed to analyze the accessibility conditions of the sidewalks, according to the NBR 9050 of 2015, in a small city. The applied methodology uses descriptive research, divided into four parts: definition of the study area, criteria for evaluation, data collection, analysis and interpretation of the facts. Several irregularities were identified. Thus, the results show sidewalks with low accessibility. The final considerations indicate that it is essential that the engineer understands the necessary specifications when elaborating projects related to accessibility, aiming to design public spaces for all.
