Abstract
In the current Brazilian scenario, the demand for women in industrial areas has grown significantly. Despite efforts to promote inclusion, such as the creation of motivational programs and inclusion in leadership positions, the engineering and technology areas still have a low percentage of women. In this sense, with the main purpose of trying to break the paradigms built over time, this work consists of developing a teaching bench with electronic components, so as to be used as the main resource in pedagogical workshops aimed at high school students. The bench was carefully designed to facilitate learning, with the application of automation elements in a way that makes the teaching process more accessible. The scripts were prepared taking into account that the participants may not have had previous contact with automation, ensuring that the content is contextualized and presented in a clear and direct manner. The practices to be developed involve everyday topics, such as lighting control, home security and irrigation system management, with the aim of arousing the interest of the students. In this way, the automation workshops were structured so that, when faced with the exercises, participants could understand and apply the concepts in an intuitive and engaging way.
