A arquitetura escolar como recurso para a construção de uma história da Educação Profissional

This e-book is an educational product arising from the research project developed in the Professional Master's Degree in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT), entitled “The architecture of IFMG's physical spaces in the process of building a History of the Institution”, with the aim of identifying how the architecture of the physical spaces of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Minas Gerais (IFMG) contributes to the construction of a history of the Institution, investigating how the institution's units were built, before and after its creation, in the year 2008. The recording of the architectural spaces of two campi, São João Evangelista and Ribeirão das Neves, in images, followed by a succinct description, aimed to demonstrate the transformations of these spaces that occurred from the 1950s onwards and how they converged towards a harmonious but diverse institutional identity. The material was developed for the Teaching area and is intended to establish questions regarding the infrastructure and spaces of the IFMG campi and serve as a basis for the respective discussions. The target audience is made up of employees and students who make up not only the units that are the focus of this research, but also the entire IFMG academic community, serving as a postcard for the dissemination of culture and historical-institutional identity.
