Abstract
Topography is the science that studies the representation and description of the irregularities of the land surface using techniques and methods, using topographic equipment. The detailed knowledge of a land, both in the design phase and in its execution, becomes the basis of any Civil Engineering project and work. The present work of course completion aims to develop a comparative analysis of the data obtained by the methods GNSS / RTK and Tachymetry used to perform the topographic survey of the same area. The Total Station is an electronic device used in the measurement of vertical and horizontal angles and distances, it is also capable of storing the collected data and performing some calculations even in the field, using the Tachymetry method. The GNSS / RTK system is based on the instantaneous transmission of correction data from satellite signals and provides real-time knowledge of precise coordinates of the raised vertices. The two equipment, Total Station and GPS, are used for surveying and leasing civil works. The methodology applied in this work is a case study, based on the survey method, which consists of a quantitative investigation. For the comparative analysis used, the differences in the data obtained by the GNSS / RTK method and Tachymetry were used. The variables studied were the differences in the coordinates in x, y and z, and the differences in horizontal and inclined distances. The results obtained showed that the precision of the GNSS / RTK system is close to the survey using tachymetry for the north and east coordinates, however they were not satisfactory for the altimetry.
