Projeto de prevenção e combate a incêndio - estudo de caso do centro administrativo "Prefeito Otacílio Gonçalves Tomé"

Fire, used since prehistoric times as an essential element of human life, has led to advancements such as cooking food and industrial operations. However, when out of control, it becomes a fire, capable of causing great destruction and losses. Knowing that fire situations are extremely dangerous, governmental bodies and institutions have created laws and regulations as a means of prevention and protection for people and material goods. Therefore, the present study aims to identify the necessary fire prevention and protection systems for a professional service building with offices and general administration units. To this end, all the characteristics of the building were surveyed through on-site visits and records to assess the conditions of the site and develop a Fire Prevention and Control Project, as well as specify all the steps for the approval of the Fire Safety and Prevention Process (PSCIP) at the Minas Gerais Fire Department.
