Abstract
Electricity is essential to modern society, powering not only lighting and electronic devices but also driving motors and facilitating technological innovation across industries. Its role is vital in promoting economic development, enhancing productivity, and improving human well-being. However, for electrical devices to operate safely and effectively, a well-designed infrastructure is necessary. This includes proper distribution of power outlets and careful management of the electrical wiring network according to technical standards. Despite adherence to these standards, risks such as cable overheating and fire hazards can still occur. This project investigates commercially available solutions that are both cost-effective and capable of reducing the risk of overheating in electrical systems. In addition, the study emphasizes the importance of monitoring electrical currents and implementing control measures in the event of faults or when current values exceed safe limits. These criteria guided the selection of the devices analyzed in this work.
