Abstract
Food labels play the role of communication between the company and the consumer, in order to transmit crucial information for the purchasing decision. Thus, in 2020 ANVISA approved new laws that update the standards for food labels with the aim of bringing clarity of information to consumers. Therefore, this work aimed to implement the new legislation in force on the labels of dairy products produced at the IFMG Campus Bambuí. Nutritional tables were created and new labels were developed for products that contained all the information that is mandatory according to legislation. The results showed major changes in relation to the labels that existed previously and the main change was the addition of the nutritional table and “HIGH EM” magnifying glasses on most of the products studied. Therefore, it can be concluded that the methodology used was efficient and that the information provided brought greater clarity to the consumer.
