Abstract
The automobile industry constantly seeks to optimize its production processes, aiming for greater efficiency, quality, and competitiveness. Robotic automation emerges as a strategic ally in this scenario, enabling the automation of repetitive and hazardous tasks, in addition to increasing precision and productivity. This study proposes the integration of an obsolete robot into the production line of an automobile manufacturer to automate spot welding on car roofs. The objective is to remove this step from a previous operation that is saturated in cycle time, aiming to increase productivity and line reliability. The research utilizes AutoCAD, Siemens NX, and Process Simulate software to develop the layout, model the scenario, simulate, and validate the proposal. Through virtual modeling of the production line and robot, the study assesses the technical feasibility of the solution, optimizing robot integration.
