Abstract
This research aimed to discuss the possibility of including Scientific Communication Texts (TDC) in Physics education through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). To achieve this, we established the following specific objectives: analyze the presence and current relevance of TDCs in high school Physics textbooks; based on this, propose a writing methodology for the creation of TDCs to be explored by teachers; explore the potential of AI as a support tool in TDC production. For this, we conducted: an analysis of the current relevance of TDCs in Physics textbooks; a literature review to identify authors who wrote about the writing genre of these texts; based on the results obtained, we proposed a writing structure; we analyzed TDCs based on the proposed method; we produced a TDC using this writing method; another text on the same theme was generated by AI for comparison purposes. We observed that from a sample of 12 books, there are 399 text boxes, of which 126 were reserved for TDCs, but only 30 addressed scientific research from the last 20 years, representing 8% of the analyzed text boxes. We also observed that the TDC writing method proposed in this research, associated with the use of AI, can be used as a tool to assist teaching practice, although it is necessary to correct possible hallucinations and errors produced by AI. Finally, we observed that AI have limitations due to its learning method; therefore, researcher or teacher supervision is necessary.
