Breve panorama sobre o campo da conservação do patrimônio cultural brasileiro

This study sought to briefly address an overview of the understanding, recognition and importance of developing specific terminologies that guide preservation, restoration and conservation practices, themes that will define the specialized domain in the field of cultural heritage, in addition to addressing the static contributions and other means of the conservation field. The aim was to present a brief overview of how the use of terminology is employed in Brazil, reflecting on its aspects and applications by professionals in the field and also how the terms are viewed and used within the global scenario. To this end, it was based on the reading and analysis of a bibliographic review in which some authors discuss the preservation of cultural heritage. From this survey of the discussions held in the consulted bibliographies, it was noted the importance of understanding how the terminology was constructed and how it is understood and applied within the differences in languages in the world scenario. Also, understanding how these terms are viewed in Brazil cannot yet be identified and there is no defined consensus, which shows that the field of conservation still needs to be structured and expanded in the debate of the terms to be used by professionals.
