Abstract
In Brazil, a significant increase has been observed in the proportion of electric vehicles in the national fleet, which grew fortyfold between 2015 and 2023, according to data processed by NeoCharge and based on information from the National Traffic Department (SENATRAN). The Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association (ABVE) also presented relevant data regarding the electric and hybrid vehicle market in the country. Between January and April 2023, sales of these vehicles grew by 51% compared to the same period in 2022. Given the continuous growth in the adoption of electric vehicles in Brazil and worldwide, there is a clear and urgent need to expand the charging infrastructure. These charging points can be installed in both residential and commercial environments, with different levels of power capacity. Therefore, it is essential that the electrical design be carried out by a properly qualified professional with access to the necessary resources for its development. In order to address the lack of academic materials focused on the design of residential electric vehicle charging station using the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology, this work aimed to create parameterized models known as families. These families were used to build a standardized project model (template), which enabled the comprehensive development of electrical designs for residential charging stations using Revit software. Through the development of these three-dimensional (3D) families, it was possible to create projects that faithfully represent practical reality, minimizing unforeseen issues and complications during the execution phase. In addition, two-dimensional (2D) representations were also created to meet the informational and documentation needs of the electrical design, presented in technical layout format.
