Abstract
The “Overconfidence” application is a technological product developed within the research project Managerial Overconfidence and Performance, part of the research line in Behavioral Finance and Decision-Making. The initiative for its development arose from the need to disseminate, in a practical and accessible way, the results of the study Managerial Overconfidence and Performance: An Empirical Analysis of Publicly Traded Companies in Brazil, which analyzed data from companies listed on B3 between 2011 and 2023. The application presents six measures of managerial overconfidence, five performance variables (accounting and market-based), and information on corporate governance levels, enabling interactive analysis based on real data. Publicly available through the Streamlit platform (https://overconfidence.streamlit.app/) and integrated with a GitHub repository (https://github.com/leticiaarrudaedu/overconfidence), the product prioritizes transparency and scientific reproducibility.
