Motivação para empreender: um estudo de caso com jovens universitários do Curso de Administração de uma Instituição de Ensino em Manaus-AM

| dc.description.abstract | Entrepreneurship generally means having a business, expanding an existing enterprise or creating something and transforming it into a business, constituting a process of generating wealth and creating occupations in the economy. In this context, the aim of this study was to identify a person's motivation to undertake. In this way, a basic, qualitative and exploratory study was carried out, through a case study, where a questionnaire with mixed questions, created in Google Forms, was applied to students on the Administration course at a Higher Education institution in the city. from Manaus/AM, distributed between periods 2nd to 8th. In total, 106 students and 23 graduates participated. The majority of participants were women, between 18 and 29 years old, single and who carried out some paid activity. The results demonstrate the participants' inclination, or at least a great interest, in becoming entrepreneurs, considering that 43 of them have already developed some entrepreneurial activity and currently 28 carry out some activity, which are mostly in commerce, with the sale of some product, and in an informal way. The predominant reasons for entrepreneurship are the search for individual autonomy obtained through income, and the realization of a personal dream. Therefore, the motivations are multiple, going beyond a need or an opportunity. In this context, carrying out activities that stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit in the academic field is essential for the training of innovative professionals prepared to deal with the constant dynamism of the current global scenario. | |
