Abstract
One of the biggest challenges in the efficient application of crop protection products is the low uniformity of the application, causing the droplet not to reach the desired location, or to reach too much, thus reducing the efficiency of the control of the pathogen or weed and generating phytotoxicity problems in the crop of economic interest planted. When applying pesticides, various types of equipment are used to fragment the liquid into droplets, using equipment such as tractor-mounted hydraulic sprayers and self-propelled sprayers. When using hydraulic sprayers, an essential component for a uniform application are the nozzle, since they determine the liquid flow rate, the droplet spectrum and population and the uniformity of liquid distribution under the target. The smaller the variation in the amount of liquid deposited under the target, the better the liquid distribution uniformity, thus the better the quality of the application and the lower the coefficient of variation (CV%). Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the liquid distribution uniformity of the nozzle tips models AD/D “ANTI-DERIVATIVE” DUPLO 110º AD-007/D Peta®; AD-03/D Magnojet®; AD-04/D Magnojet®, Leque-110/020 ppb®; Leque-110/030 ppb®, using a standardized table built in accordance with ISO 5682/1 (ISO 2017) and ASTM E641-01 (2012), in order to find the best operational application conditions for each model of hydraulic nozzle evaluated on the interference of the height of the spray bar and the working pressure.
