Abstract
The search for new construction methods is an alternative for the evolution of civil construction. Therefore, a case study in which different systems are compared proves to be a good tool for disseminating unusual technologies. The objective of this work is to analyze, characterize and compare the constructive systems in monolithic panel and conventional masonry, considering their advantages and disadvantages, when used as sealing masonry. In the elaboration of the work, a narrative review of the national literature on the proposed theme was carried out, after that, a comparison of the systems was made based on their advantages and disadvantages in relation to characteristics such as execution time, sealing, mechanical resistance and thermo-acoustic performance, considering the recommendations of technical standards. The appearance of new constructive systems is due to the search for more efficient processes, which have improved results in terms of, for example: execution time, costs, wastes, safety, comfort and durability. Therefore, there is a rising search for industrialization in the civil construction sector, especially by large companies. However, the resistance (aversion) to the use of new construction systems is remarkable, due to the familiarity of the labor with conventional methods.
