Abstract

The integrated crop-livestock-forest system (ICLF) has been a socially and economically viable alternative, as it adopts management systems that promote improvements in soil quality, increase in carbon stocks, recovery of degraded agricultural areas, based on synergism of the components of the productive system. Therefore, this work had as main objective to perform a bibliographic survey about the ICLF system, emphasizing the arboreal component. The methodology adopted is based on a bibliographic review using papers from SciELO, CAPES Periodical, Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD), and Google Scholar databases. The behavior of tree species within ICLF systems was considered from the information of the last 10 years. The tree components studied in the present work were the forest species Eucalyptus spp. (eucalyptus), Pinus elliottii (pine), Khaya spp. (African mahogany), Toona ciliata (Australian cedar), Tectona grandis (teak), Acacia mangium (acacia), and Hevea brasiliensis (rubber tree), which play an important role within the integration systems about proper soil management, in addition to its economic role due to the various uses of wood.
