Abstract
As the first bibliographic product derived from the actions of the PROFGEO/IFMG community, this work aims to represent the materialization of a collective exercise of merging the previous experiences of teachers and students with the intended theoretical legacies that the program seeks to construct. The volume seeks to advance the understanding of the process and the moment of PROFGEO’s implementation by recovering ongoing projects and research, engaging in open dialogue with Geography teaching. Additionally, exercises and perspectives on Geography and its teaching are proposed, always through the articulation of past experiences and future directions within the PROFGEO framework. Finally, the work focuses on debates that are always connected to the program's research lines: Line 1 – Knowledge and understandings of Geography in the school environment; Line 2 – Teacher training in Geography; Line 3 – Languages in Geography teaching.
