Estudo de caso: impactos ambientais causados por encerramento de disposição final de resíduos sólidos em aterro de Bambuí/MG.

Cities are expanding, resulting on the increase of population-related issues, including the accumulation of solid waste, wich improper management can have significant negative effects on the environment, the economy and society. By using fotos taken at the municipal landfill, that was used as a final destination for solid waste until the end of December 2021. This study consists of an environmental survey of the impacts resulting from the final destination of urban domiciliar solid residues in the municipality of Bambuí/MG. This study displays the primary effects that can be seen with the naked eye and captured on câmera, including air and pollution, natural landscape damage (visual pollution), as well as the potencial for unbservable effects that could not be detected through in situ inspection, like soil pollution and surface and underground water pollution, that require laboratory investigation. The evidence of these environmental impacts have the purpose to alert Public Power and the population. A degraded area recovery plan (PRAD) must be produced and the municipality is require to restore and recover the final destination area for solid waste.
