Uma percepção dos estudantes do IFMG Ouro Preto a respeito dos efeitos colaterais ao mau uso das redes sociais

In this monograph, the perception of students at IFMG Ouro Preto campus regarding the misuse of social media and its potential side effects will be discussed. Side effects, in this context, are defined as unintended or initially unexpected effects. Digital technologies represent a significant advancement in the era we live in and aim to primarily enhance the lives of their users. However, what can be observed is that this technology has become a trap, enticing and keeping its users increasingly connected and dependent on these technologies. This work highlights how technology can be used incorrectly and lead to these aforementioned side effects, particularly in the use of social networks. These effects can manifest as socioemotional pathologies, such as anxiety and depression, as well as other risks associated with misuse, including internet dependency.
