Abstract
The current industrial environment is highly competitive, requiring companies to prioritize quality, agility, and efficiency to meet consumer demands for personalized and innovative products. The increasing complexity and dynamism of the production environment necessitate flexible, cost-effective, and intelligent industrial processes with a high level of digitization and automation. In the automotive industry, in particular, the speed of new product launches is crucial for maintaining competitiveness. Modern technologies, such as digital process simulation, offline robot programming, and virtual commissioning, enable companies to implement quick and effective changes and adaptations, optimizing the transition between different production models and identifying issues before physical implementation. Therefore, the objective of this work is to develop the simulation, offline programming, and virtual commissioning of a robotic cell in the automotive manufacturing process, using Tecnomatix Process Simulate and TIA Portal software. The main contribution lies in demonstrating all stages of this process in a digital environment. The results confirm the feasibility of validating an automated process with an accurate virtual representation of the actual equipment. Furthermore, preliminary software verification allowed for the identification of mechanical interferences and the testing of communication logic between robots and PLCs, reducing on-site programming time and preventing issues during the production line startup.
