Abstract
Coffee is one of the most important agricultural crops in the world, with a rich history and a significant presence in several national economies. Coffee farming is an important activity in the Brazilian economy, with coffee being the most widely traded tropical product, with up to 25 million farming families accounting for 80 percent of world production globally. Among the various coffee species, Coffea canephora, known as conilon or robusta coffee, has gained prominence due to its resistance to practices and diseases, in addition to its adaptability to different climatic conditions. Recently, this species has received high economic value, arousing interest in several producers. Conilon Coffee has stood out in the agronomic scenario, both in the domestic and foreign markets, and understanding the factors responsible for this growth is of great relevance for agronomy and for the producers of this crop. This work aims to contribute useful information that can assist in strategic decision-making by the producers of this grain so valued worldwide. The research is based on questioning the reasons that led to this significant appreciation, in addition to trying to predict market trends for the next harvests of this type of coffee.
