Abstract
This Final Undergraduate Project (TCC) aims to investigate the challenges related to the education of electrical engineers in the 21st century, with a special focus on the Electrical Engineering program at the Formiga campus; the research is based on the analysis of data from the Nilo Peçanha Platform, reflections on the current challenges faced by Higher Education Institutions, and the skills and competencies required by the National Curriculum Guidelines and expected by students; through this analysis, the study seeks to provide a broader and more critical understanding of the new student profile, the adequacy of necessary teaching methodologies, and the importance of adapting academic training to labor market demands, thus contributing to continuous reflection and improvement of the program; furthermore, this analysis can support the implementation of changes aimed at training professionals who are better prepared and more adaptable to ongoing technological innovations and transformations in the sector; ultimately, it is expected that the results of this study will guide the evolution of the Electrical Engineering program at the Formiga campus, ensuring that it remains aligned with the needs and demands of the job market while promoting excellence in the education of highly qualified and competitive engineers.
