Abstract
This study aims to present a reflection on the impact of the 2019 Coronavirus pandemic on the educational context in Brazil, highlighting how the pandemic introduced particularities in the teaching systems of universities, how these changes contributed to student dropout rates, and how education has been affected in the post-pandemic period. The research is supported by data provided by Brazilian universities to analyze the teaching landscape during the COVID-19 crisis. It also questions how distance learning (EAD) was implemented throughout the pandemic years and whether it continues to expand in the years following the pandemic. Through the analysis of data, the study explores traditional teaching methods and key challenges in the pre-pandemic era, as well as the main tools that supported academic activities during remote learning and the rationale behind their use.
