Abstract
The use of hydraulic spray tips is an extremely important tool in the phytosanitary control of a crop. Therefore, the objective of this work was: 1) Evaluate uniformity of liquid distribution and 2) Evaluate liquid distribution profile. The present work evaluated the behavior of three empty cone tip models, at pressures of 300, 400 and 500 kPa and target heights of 0.4 and 0.5 meters. Using a standardized table to collect drops and beakers to quantify the volume of liquid, calculating their coefficient of variation, where it was possible to observe different values, situations with low CV and others with high CV, which indicates poor volumetric distribution. Also analyzing the individual distribution profile of these tips and finding projections that are common in empty cone tips, being depression in the central zone of the jet and concentration of drops in the jet projection.
