Abstract
This dissertation consists of a bibliographic and documentary analysis, and a case study, arising from an exploratory study, which focuses on the impact of the BNCC on the teaching of Geoscience content, especially by Geography teachers in the Final Years of Elementary School, Firstly, we selected the BNCC skills, from the Geography component prescribed for Elementary Education, which cover Geoscience content, comparing them with the skills of subnational curricula, focusing, on the one hand, on how these curricula adapt – or not – the BNCC's abilities to contemplate, such as determining the LDB and PNE, according to local specificities; and, on the other hand, if these curricula intend to go beyond the BNCC, overcoming its possible defects and limits, they are limited to being reproduced, or if they fall short of it, offering a more impoverished curriculum. In the end, these curricula will be classified according to the level of intervention in the BNCC's original proposal.
