Uma Análise sobre a Gestão de Riscos nos Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia

This study aimed to elicit the perception of the risk management responsible parties of the Federal Institutes, regarding to the adopted practices, identification of the main risks, implementation challenges, and impacts and contributions resulting from the implementation of risk management. The research was carried out in the Federal Institutes due to the relevance of this autarchy in the national educational scenario, the uniqueness of the organizational design, and the lack of specific studies on risk management in this federal autarchy. The methodology involved conducting a census, which included applying a questionnaire developed by Araújo (2019) to all responsible parties for risk management in the thirty-eight Federal Institutes, followed by an exploratory and descriptive analysis of the data. Among the main results, there is evidence of a relevant effort by the administration of the Federal Institutes to implement risk management, with the direct responsible parties perceiving its importance and potential. However, several significant weaknesses in the current implementation status were identified.
