Abstract
Mental health in the workplace has gained prominence due to the increase in cases of stress, anxiety, and burnout within organizational environments characterized by pressure for results, task overload, and rigid hierarchical relationships. In this context, it is fundamental to understand how management practices influence the psychological well-being of workers and how they can contribute to healthier and more productive environments. The main objective of this research was to analyze the organizational factors affecting the emotional well-being of workers in the Alto Paraopeba region, considering organizational climate, leadership, professional recognition, and working conditions. The theoretical framework adopted addressed concepts of mental health, psychosocial risks, and factors associated with occupational illness, highlighting the influence of productivist structures, professional insecurity, gender inequalities, and the absence of institutional support. The discussion of the results, obtained through interviews with administrative professionals, revealed a predominance of feelings of devaluation, excessive pressure, job insecurity, and symptoms such as anxiety, stress, and emotional exhaustion. It was also observed that women reported more intense emotional impacts, evidencing structural inequalities in professional recognition. It was concluded that humanized management practices—based on recognition, dialogue, psychological support, and a balance between demands and capacities—are essential to prevent psychological illness and promote quality of life at work. Future studies are suggested to include other sectors, as well as longitudinal approaches regarding the effectiveness of organizational interventions focused on mental health.
