Abstract
Currently, one of the last residential resources has been discussed in small municipalities, as a means of preserving the environment and public health. However, consultation of health status in the past, only from the point of view of public health, there is therefore no need for communication between urban waste and preserving the quality of the environment. What is it that is in vogue, municipalities continue to deposit their URS in open dumps, as an example, the municipality of Santo Antônio do Monte - MG where, despite efforts to regularize the situation, do not have resources and that make possible the implementation of the necessary measures to solve this problem. The present work had the objective of presenting contributions to a process improvement model, at the same time as it considered the more detailed option for the case of the city of Santo Antônio do Monte - MG, the sanitary landfill. For a decision making, the multicriteria analysis method was considered, together with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), both performed in a Geographic System environment. Thus, a population dynamics and a generation of waste were forced over a 20-year horizon, so that the dimensioning of the landfill would meet this perspective. In turn, the aerodrome was designed in six massive (forming steps) and with a total useful area of 5.25 hectares. This, constructed according to the AHP matrix, which identified a series of possibilities, from which it was constituted by three locational alternatives, compared to the various candidates for physical, biotic, anthropic and legal rights adopted, resulted in areas with high potential for the installation of the landfill. In this way, the work compared as the alternatives exhibited among themselves, raising the strong feet and those that are being used to improve the quality of the environment. In this case, the second alternative was selected, in which this area is shown, less impact of significance, none of which, one area found is 1 km from the current dump.
