Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the scientific literature on the growth of youth entrepreneurship in Brazil in order to identify the motivations and challenges faced by young entrepreneurs, the impacts of their activities on the labor market and the economy, and to highlight existing gaps in the literature on the subject. An integrative literature review method was used to support and discussthe published studies and to presentresearch gaps, pointing out the main issues that shape the theme based on academic findings and market trends related to youth entrepreneurship in the country. A total of 19 articles were analyzed, selected based on criteria of relevance, thematic alignment, type of publication, and type of research. The selected articles were categorized into four main areas: motivations for youth entrepreneurship, challenges faced, the relationship with innovation and digital culture, and impacts on the economy, education, and labor market. The results indicated that young people engage in entrepreneurship both out of necessity and due to perceived market opportunities, driven by the pursuit of identity, autonomy, and personal purpose as alternatives to traditional employment. Recurring challenges were also identified, such as limited access to credit, bureaucracy, lack of public policies, and social inequalities. Digital culture emerged as a strategic ally, although it also brings symbolic pressures. Entrepreneurial education appears to be a promising path, yet access remains unequal. It is concluded that youth entrepreneurship is multifaceted and demands integrated and inclusive policies.
