Abstract
The present work carries out the sizing of a hydraulic pump, for a settlement on rural properties powered by photovoltaic energy. Sizing begins by determining the area to be irrigated and the volume of water required for ideal humidification. Therefore, proceed to the design of the hydraulic conduits, calculating the circumference diameter and the service lifting height achieved by the pump. Based on this data, choose the product that provides the best performance to carry out the operation and finally, calculate the ideal size of the photovoltaic panel to supply electrical energy to the hydraulic pump. To carry out this sizing, a program was built in the Python programming language, using the Jupyter Notebook tool. This program can be used to size both centrifugal pump models and submersible pump models, both with non-positive positioning classification. After building the program, the sizing of the hydraulic pump for a property belonging to the municipality of Divinópolis MG was used as a case study. As such, it was possible to obtain the data to calculate the conductors, determine the pump to be used and the number of modules needed to supply electrical energy to the pump.
