Abstract
This study presents an overview of Astrobiology education in Brazil based on an analysis of theses and dissertations published between 2019 and 2024. It is qualitative research of the state-of-the-art type, focusing on the CAPES thesis and dissertation database. The analysis of the publications began with the titles and continued through reading the works, aiming to identify their relationship with Astrobiology education. Among the results, it was found that, although the field is growing, Astrobiology education is still predominantly addressed in master's dissertations, with an emphasis on theoretical and practical methodologies. The analysis also revealed a greater concentration of publications in the states of Bahia and Paraná, with a focus on the teaching of Astrobiology at the high school and elementary school levels. Additionally, there is a notable absence of doctoral-level publications, indicating a gap with potential for a deeper exploration of the subject. The study concludes that, although Astrobiology is consolidating its presence in science education, there are still gaps that need to be filled, requiring investment both in teachers' initial training and in public policies to encourage its advancement.
