Abstract
This work addressed the importance of teaching mobile programming, highlighting the growing use of smartphones and tablets. The Kodular platform, which allows for the creation of mobile applications for Android without the need for textual programming, was the focus of the research. The goal was to develop educational material that is free and accessible to beginner students, facilitating the learning of app development. The thesis began with a justification based on the increasing demand for mobile app developers, evidenced by the growth in the job market in this field. It then discussed common difficulties faced by beginners, such as the complexity of understanding command blocks and logic structures. Based on these observations, the development of a textbook was proposed to address the use of Kodular in a practical and structured manner, offering project examples and practical exercises. The methodology adopted organized the content into levels of complexity, from basic concepts to the development of complete applications, aligning with the Mobile Development course of the Technical Informatics program at IFMG Campus Bambuí. The material included step-by-step instructions and explored Kodular’s potential as an educational tool, emphasizing its ability to foster creative and logical skills in students. Although it was not applied in the classroom, it was concluded that Kodular is a promising tool for teaching mobile programming and can contribute to the formation of qualified professionals ready for the market. The material was submitted to the IFMG Campus Bambuí editor's call 185/2024, with the aim of democratizing access to knowledge and encouraging the development of programming skills.
