Abstract
This study analyzes the process of creation and implementation of a continuing education program aimed at academic leaders within the Federal Network, considering institutional expansion and the growing demands for qualification in educational management. The research problem focuses on understanding the challenges, decisions, and dynamics involved in the construction of this national program. The objective was to describe and interpret the development process, identifying participants’ perceptions and critical aspects of the trajectory. The study adopted a qualitative, descriptive approach, using semi-structured interviews with participants directly involved in the project. The results reveal that the initiative emerged in response to historical training gaps, required strong interinstitutional articulation, and faced challenges related to communication, deadlines, and scope complexity. The main finding highlights the relevance of structured managerial training to improve practices and strengthen public educational management. The article is organized into an introduction, theoretical framework, methodology, analysis of results, and conclusion.
