Abstract
This work presents the development of a real-time monitoring system for agricultural irrigation. The system integrates modern technologies such as Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), web applications, and communication protocols (HTTP and MQTT) with the Crop Evapotranspiration (ETc) method. The increasing demand for efficient water resource management solutions and the need for sustainable agricultural practices motivate this research. The developed system uses telemetry sensors to collect real-time environmental data. Additionally, ETc calculation algorithms are integrated into the system to provide metrics on crop water requirements. Precision agriculture, combined with the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT), allows for continuous and detailed monitoring of soil and plant conditions, promoting more effective irrigation management. It is expected that the proposed system will contribute to reducing water waste, increasing agricultural productivity, and promoting sustainability. Field tests and validations aim to demonstrate the system’s effectiveness in providing useful information to farmers, facilitating decision-making.
