Abstract
Bovine papillomatosis is an infectious disease, also known by several names, such as wart, fig, fibropapillomatosis and contagious epithelioma. The disease is caused by a virus of the Papillomaviridae family, and is characterized by the formation of tumor lesions on the skin. Papillomas are categorized as typical, atypical, atypical encapsulated and filamentous. Several treatments have been tested with varying efficacy, among them the use of autogenous vaccines. The present study aimed to report the use of different treatments for bovine papillomatosis in four animals in the Cattle Breeding Sector of IFMG - Bambuí Campus. The different treatment methods used in the present study obtained different results. The autogenous vaccine was the first treatment performed, followed by the copper wire, both of which did not obtain satisfactory results, as there was no regression of the papillomas. The animal (668) was euthanized days after treatment with copper wire. Chlorobutanol had the best effect in the treatment, in which 66.6% of the animals achieved complete regression of the papillomas.
