Abstract
This study investigated the influence of remote and hybrid work on the occupational health of working women in the Alto Paraopeba region of Minas Gerais, with an emphasis on psychosocial, ergonomic, and organizational dimensions. The research adopted a mixed-methods approach and descriptive character, combining a literature review and the application of an online questionnaire answered by 43 women working in different sectors. The results indicate that remote work is mostly evaluated positively, especially due to flexibility, autonomy, and the perceived improvement in quality of life. However, relevant challenges were also identified, such as social isolation, communication difficulties, lack of training, and ergonomic inadequacies in the home environment. The overload of domestic and caregiving responsibilities, frequently attributed to women, proved to be an aggravating factor for stress and physical discomfort. It is concluded that, although remote work presents important benefits, its sustainability depends on the implementation of organizational policies sensitive to gender inequalities, focusing on occupational health, ergonomics, psychosocial support, and equity.
