Abstract
The civil construction sector is extremely important for the economic and social development of a country and has great representation in the gross domestic product - GDP. On the other hand, it is one of the sectors that cause the most environmental impacts due to the predatory exploration of natural resources, energy consumption from non-renewable sources and the immense amount of solid waste generated. This work proposes an economic feasibility analysis of the implementation of a recycling plant for construction and demolition waste. To achieve this objective, a bibliographical research was carried out, questionnaires were applied in correlated companies and in the public sector in order to collect quantitative data for quantitative analysis of residues in order to measure the URRCD. Soon after these data, installation costs and operating costs of a recycling plant were raised for the economic feasibility analysis. It was concluded that the construction and demolition waste recycling plant is economically viable with a net present value of R$ 975,326,73, an internal rate of return of 23.71% and a recovery period of invested capital of 7.93 years.
